Mr Jing Liu is the Sector Head of Power, Utilities, Metals & Mining at SMBC responsible for the origination and execution of structured finance transactions across EMEA. He has over 15 years’ experience in financial sector focusing on project finance, acquisition finance and advisory services.
He has been with SMBC since 2015, where he manages Power, Utilities, Metals & Mining team. Prior to SMBC, Jing worked at Standard Chartered in London for 10 years as a Director in Corporate Finance. He has led a number of transactions including Triton Knoll financing, Beatrice, Elenia acquisition, acquisition of Societa Gasdotti Italia, etc. He holds a Master in Economics from Oxford University.
